Intervention (Period 9)

Course Description

Building relationships with our students is one of the most important concepts of implementing the Tiger Time Intervention schedule. Data from our California Healthy Kids Survey indicates that a large portion of our student body feels that they have little or no connection to adults on campus: that has to change in order for our climate to be one of respect, empathy, and social responsibility.

I work diligently to build relationships with students and parents based on clearly understood expectation, challenge and student success. I have found students need support when representing themselves on campus and I work to give our students a outlet to shine. In my experience the single most thing that contributed to my success in any high school class was the relationship I had with the instructor.
