San Jacinto 12 grader Fernando Cantu Pirrelli places 2nd in cabinet making at National student furniture showcase. The Association of Wood Furnishing suppliers (AWFS- Click here for link) hosts a student showcase during their biennial tradeshow.
8 San Jacinto 12th graders complete tables during 3 day field trips to the Sam Maloof foundation. These Job Shadowing clinics were lead by Dennis Hayes where students explored entering custom furniture making and the sort of work a young wood worker would experience working in a shop like Sam Maloof's.
