Culinary Arts

Our CTE Culinary Arts program provides students a comprehensive introduction to the culinary industry, including cooking techniques, food safety, nutrition, menu planning, and kitchen management. Students learn fundamental culinary skills such as knife handling, food preparation, baking, and presentation. The program also covers topics like culinary history, international cuisines, and restaurant operations. Through hands-on experience in commercial-grade kitchens, students have the opportunity to create a variety of dishes, develop menus, participate in culinary competitions, and operate and manage our Tiger Cafe. The program emphasizes teamwork, creativity, time management, and attention to detail. Upon the completion of our 2 year program students may have the chance to gain industry certifications and internships with local restaurants or catering businesses. This pathway prepares students for careers as chefs, cooks, bakers, food service managers, and other culinary professionals, as well as for further education or training in the culinary arts field.
