School Profile and Motto

Year School Opened: The first grammar school opened in 1888. San Jacinto District’s first graduating class of three students occurred on June 5, 1891. The actual high school was first opened on West First Street in 1910. SJHS opened in 1968 at our current site. The district’s website has a timeline on the district information page.

Grade Levels: 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th

Description of Campus: Located in southern California's rapidly growing Inland Empire, San Jacinto is a dynamic community with a rich heritage and exciting future. San Jacinto's quality of life, affordable housing, pro-business stance, and central location continue to attract residents and businesses to the city and the surrounding valley. San Jacinto is located 85 miles east of Los Angeles and 90 miles north of San Diego. Ontario and Palm Springs airports are within an hour's drive. Disneyland, the Pacific Ocean and mountain ski resorts are also within easy driving distance.
