SJHS Additional Online Coaches Training Requirements

Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training (Expires after 2 years)
Free online course. Once you go to the website, you click "order course" at the top. If you do not already have an account, you can click "register here" and follow the steps to register. Click here

Concussion in Sports Training (Expires after 2 years)
Free online course. Once you go to the website, you click "order course" at the top. If you do not already have an account, you can click "register here" and follow the steps to register. Click here

*NEW* Heat Illness Prevention Training (Expires after 2 years)

Free online course. All coaches in the district (both new and returning) must complete this component by taking an online course through NFHS. Click here

Sexual Harassment Prevention, Mandated Reporter, and Workplace Bullying Prevention Training (Expire annually on June 30th)
Free online courses. Username is your first initial last name (i.e., jdoe) or district email if you are a district employee.

First Aid, CPR & AED - Adult, Child, and Infant - REQUIRED (Expire after 2 years)

Certificate must be issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association only
Online certifications are not accepted for initial certification only for renewal. Click Here
The following will also be accepted:
- - College-level course in care and prevention of athletic injuries & valid CPR card
  - Valid Sports Injury Certificate & valid CPR card
  - Valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) I or II card
  - Valid trainer’s certification issued by the National or CA Athletics Trainers’ Association (NATA/CATA)
