Sports Medicine

Our Sports Medicine CTE pathway for San Jacinto High School students provides specialized education and hands-on training in the field of sports medicine. Students learn about injury prevention, emergency care, rehabilitation techniques, and sports nutrition. They acquire practical skills such as taping and bracing, first aid, CPR, and concussion management. The program also covers topics related to anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and exercise science. Students have the opportunity to enroll in the 7th period LAB CLASS to work with student-athletes, coaches and supporting staff, gaining real-world experience in athletic training facilities, sports clinics, and school sports programs. This pathway prepares students for careers as athletic trainers, physical therapists, sports medicine physicians, and other healthcare professionals in the sports and fitness industry.
